Slow Cooked BBQ Beef

Beef Burgundy

INGREDIENTS

1 Tbsp. olive oil

1.5 lbs. steak cut into bite sized cubes  (I used round steak)

1 pkg. onion soup mix (1 Tbsp)

1 package sliced mushrooms

1 chopped yellow onion

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 cup red wine 

1/3 cup beef broth

1 package egg noodles, cooked according to package 

1 Tbsp corn starch

1/2 cup water

Salt & pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add onion and cook until soft & translucent – stir in garlic. Add beef and brown on all sides. Stir in beef broth, red wine, onion seasoning and mushrooms – bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until meat is tender.

Meanwhile combine corn starch and water, slowly add into beef mixture to thicken the sauce.

Salt & pepper to taste & serve over cooked noodles.
